Our Story

Tutsi Hershler, The founder and owner of The Kosh Box

Born Out of The Need for Connection and Authenticity

The Kosh Box was created by our founder, Tutsi Hershler, in response to a shift she witnessed after the pandemic. Community felt fractured. People weren’t reaching out, nurturing their relationships or finding small ways to show appreciation anymore. The bonds that once held us together suddenly felt distant.

Tutsi saw an opportunity to rebuild what we were collectively missing — authentic connection.

She created The Kosh Box as a way for people to reconnect with the ones they care about through simple, thoughtful and intentional gestures. Each box is designed to help strengthen relationships, spark moments of gratitude and make community feel close again, no matter the distance.

The Kosh Box is more than a gift, it’s a reminder that connection is essential, and that nurturing it can be beautiful, meaningful and effortless.

Who We Are

We are a small, diverse team of women who believe in thoughtful work, inclusive spaces, and sustainable choices. At The Kosh Box, we ensure the products we choose put a spotlight on Canadian businesses, are made using clean ingredients and reduce waste through our packaging.

Our Vision

Our vision is to make connection accessible to people of all backgrounds, identities and life experiences. We are committed to building a community grounded in inclusion, where minority voices are represented and everyone feels they belong.

We aim to create meaningful gifting experiences that care for people and the planet through sustainable choices, mindful sourcing and low-waste practices. Above all, we want to invite others into a world where thoughtful connection, empathy and community are not only possible, but prioritized.
